Welcome to the month of June.

For some of us that means riding weather. Some of us are still getting rain and some are getting snow!

Just a few things I'd like to cover with you all.
With summer, summer brings out the sun and that brings the heat to the road surfaces. Its critical for you to get down and check your tires. Make sure they are at the correct air pressures. Low tire psi causes friction, friction causes heat, to much heat can lead to tire failure.
So please get out and check them for proper air pressure, check the tread depth and same sounds. If not you have something that needs to be looked at to be safe down the road.
Proper tire pressure is listed in the owners book or the tire sidewall.

Next on that list. Most of you are at the 2 year timing belt replacement mark. Make sure to get them in and get them replaced. The service life is two years or 12/15k miles
Belt spec is 110hz , error on the looser side of that. I have seen a few motors this season already with layshaft bearing failures do to over tighten belts. As the motor heats up I have seen belt tighten to over 300hz..!!! Gotta love the aircooled engines...look for nails or anything you might have picked up over the winter riding season. Rain brings water run off. So all those nails and junk on the side of the road wash right into the road. Checxk your spokes, tap each one with a wrench, They should all make the

And everyone please ride safe! Keep it slow for the 1st weekend if you havent rode all winter. Check all your riding gear, make sure the stiching is all in good working order. I have seen gloves age over the winter months and the stiching comes out. Making a glove useless in a get off. Dont be that person!
